Yes, Mew is in Pokemon Go

Last week, a data mine of Pokemon Go revealed Pokedex images for all 150 Pokemon in the game, including the Legendary Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Mewtwo. One Pokemon absent from the images pulled from the data mine was Mew, the first Mythical Pokemon.
However, a deeper dig into Pokemon Go’s coding reveals that Mew will be in the game. Like in the actual Pokemon games, Mew will be a “Mythical Pokemon” in the game, although what that entails isn’t exactly clear. According to Mew’s stats, Mew will be among the most powerful Pokemon in the game, trailing only Dragonite and Mewtwo in terms of max CP and ranking 11th in terms of max HP.
Don’t start planning your Mew hunt yet, though. Mew’s coding comes without a “Base Capture Rate” stat present in other Pokemon’s data, which indicates that it can’t be captured through normal means.
Pokemon Go will give a big presentation at San Diego Comic-Con this week, so hopefully we’ll get some more news about Mew and other special Pokemon then.
